Week 7 EOC: The Pitch
The product that I have chosen to do is called Kroket balls. "Kroket is typically cylindrical in shape, filled with a meat ragout (most commonly using beef, beef broth, flour, butter or margarine, onions, herbs.)" (http://eatyourworld.com/destinations/europe/the_netherlands/amsterdam/what_to_eat/kroket). These Kroket Balls will be breaded and deep fried so that they are nice and crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It will come with a side of marinara sauce and Dijon Mustard. Kroket is a very popular snack in The Netherlands, which tourist have been known to have a secret love for this weird looking treat. This snack would go great with a 22 ounce Budweiser and good company. Which is why I am promoting it to the bar scene. One portion of this food would be ten Kroket balls in a basket. The basket would go for $5.99.
Week 8 EOC: Adventure
After a long night of drinking, Phineas Fogg found himself
sitting in a dimly lit bar in the sleazy Red light district of the infamous
Amsterdam, Holland. The bartender comes up and sets a drink in front of him, he
looks up confused and says, “I didn’t order this?” The bartender grunts and
points to the most gorgeous woman Fogg had ever laid eyes on, who was sitting
at the other end of the bar. He picked up the drink and started to approach her.
As Fogg walked towards her, he stared, trying to soak in all of her beauty.
Finally reaching her, he says hello and asked why she bought the drink for him.
She did not reply. After a few more minutes of staring she finally spoke up, “I
have been watching you Mr. Fogg.” He gave her a strange look but continued with
the conversation, “And why would you be doing that?” “I have heard of your
amazing voyage to travel around the world,” she said, “and I wanted to join
you.” Fogg now seemed shocked. Why would this beautiful lady that he has only
just met want to come with him on his voyage? The woman saw the shocked
expression on his face and sought out to reassure him, “I do not need your
answer now Mr. Fogg, come and sit for a while, we will talk all night and you
can decide in the morning.” So there they sat all night, and Fogg loved every
minute of it. They talked about their hopes and dreams, of losses and sorrows. They
tried many delicious Dutch foods, but one caught Fogg’s attention the most, and
that was the Kroket balls. The woman had told Fogg that it was the Dutch’s
favorite snack food. As the night dwindled to the wee hours of the morning Fogg
had told the beautiful lady that he needed to head off soon and had decided to
let her come along. The woman’s face glowed with excitement. But before they
left Fogg had to run to the restroom, and when he came back the woman was gone
without a trace. He wanted to search for here but his time for departure had
come. So he left Amsterdam with only the Kroket balls left to remember her by.

Week 6 EOC: Me x 3
There are many things that I own that could define my
personality. But there are a few things that I treasure over everything. For
the first thing that I would say defines me is my pair of wrestling shoes from
my senior year in high school. Seeing these shoes always floods my brain with wonderful
memories. Wrestling has been one of the greatest experiences to happen in my
life, it, along with the people involved, helped me get through a hard time in
my life. I am an only child and have always wanted brothers to hang with and
wrestling gave me just that. I even appreciate the days of wrestling that
pushed me to my limits and I wanted to quit, those days taught me how to have a
strong character and have good work ethic. The second object I would choose is
my IPOD. I am deeply in love with music of all styles. I believe that music is
a universal language and it can give you a connection to people that you never
thought you would have anything in common with. I love the goosebumps that run
over my entire body when I hear a song that just seems to resonate with my
whole being and make me feel that I have no care in the world. Everybody needs
a happy place and I found mine in Music. Which leads me to my last object which
is my Blue Spark Microphone. Since I have realized my passion for music I have
gone in to the field of sound and have been studying for it. So I think this
microphone is a good choice. With this I want be able to create the music that
has inspired me and I hope that one day the music I have created Inspires
people all over the world. That would be a dream come true.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting
In today’s world we are more tech savvy as ever. As humans
evolve with technology, people will start to break some of the traditional things
we have done for a long time. People now a days have been trying to find
employees over social media. “More companies are trying to tap
Facebook Inc.'s 750-million-plus user base to find new employees, threatening
traditional job boards and competing with LinkedIn Corp., which has dominated
the online professional networking arena.” (Wall Street Journal). This could be
a great idea. Seeing that most of the world is on Facebook shows that there is
the potential to come in contact with anybody. “The majority of social-media
traffic to Waste Management Inc.'s careers website comes from Facebook, beating
out LinkedIn, said Jenny DeVaughn, manager of social media and employment
branding. The Houston-based environmental services company is currently trying
to fill 1,500 positions—from software developers to garbage truck drivers. In
addition to posting jobs and videos of current employees on its Facebook page,
the company has recruiters and other employees find user groups and join
discussions.” (Wall Street Journal). But even tough this may seem like a good idea,
people may still have a problem. Most people like to keep their personal live
completely separate from the professional lives. They may not be comfortable
having someone that they are working for to be all over their personal affairs,
whatever they may be.
